Nutrition, Family & Consumer Science
The Nutrition, Family and Consumer Sciences program (NFCS) provides family and community nutrition education, community consultation, educational resources, and conducts applied research targeting nutrition and wellness issues impacting limited-income populations and high-risk families with small children.

Child Nutrition & Community Development
Many children and youth are negatively impacted by an environment that undermines their ability to access food, eat and exercise properly. Our academic advisors and professional staff have developed comprehensive school-based and after-school activities for youth, as well as training materials for teachers and community based groups to improve the eating and physical activity behaviors of our youth.

Youth Development
Find out about programs and research that focus on Youth Leadership, Life Skills and Youth Risk and Violence Prevention.

Master Gardener Program
Trained volunteers provide advice and support for local gardeners.
